Visiting chef from Mérida, a UNESCO City of Creative Gastronomy from Yucatan, México and San Antonio’s own Chef Johnny Hernández will host Mes del Maíz: Masa to Mesa.
Join Kitchen Campus and the City of San Antonio’s World Heritage Organization Saturday, May 20th at Kitchen Campus from 10am – 2pm.
Ancient Heirloom Grains, a local, family-owned company that sources organic, non-GMO from Mexico will provide corn for masa at the teaching session as well as the corn for participants to take home for use in their own home creations. Chef Paul Morales will speak to the unique qualities of nixtamal.
